Office of International Relations (OIR) Inviting Bids for Medical Insurance for International students

General Instructions:

  1. OIR is the nodal department for enrolment of international students from over 60 countries for whom it is mandatory for covering them with medical insurance.
  2. Bids are invited for group insurance scheme for 730 students (530 old and 200 New)
  3. The scheme should cover the following:
    • a. Coverage of pre-existing diseases
    • b. Coverage up to Rs.3 lakhs
    • c. Waiver off 30 day waiting period
    • d. General waiver of yearly exclusions of diseases
    • e. No Co-payment
    • f. No disease wise capping
    • g. Hospitalization fully covered
  4. The bids must be put in sealed covers duly superscribed “Bids for Group Insurance Scheme for  International Students”, with date.
  5. The bids should be dropped in the tender box slit kept at the OIR office, in 2nd floor of the Main Administrative Block.
  6. The period of the contract will from 01.10.2018 to 30.09.2019 renewable for 2nd year based on performance evaluation.
  7. Tender opening date: 10th September 2018
    Tender closing date : 14th September 2018 – 12.00 P.M
  8. Time : 09.00 A.M to 05.00 P.M
  9. Bid Evaluation : 14th September 2018
  10. In case of any holiday on the day of opening, the tender will be opened on the next working day at the same time. The bids received after the scheduled date and time will not be considered. No bids by FAX / email will be entertained. The date & time mentioned above are liable for change due to administrative reasons.
  11. Note providing past experience of the company in providing such service may be included as a separate note.
  12. The right of acceptance of the bids rests with Registrar, SRMIST and he reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids received without assigning any reason for it
  13. Bids which do not comply with at the instruction shall be summerly rejected.
  14. The successful tender will be advised about the acceptance of the tender by a letter / email or formal acceptance letter.
